India-Pakistan Peace Day Observed on Aug. 13

Fourteen organisations in the greater Washington, DC area brought the South Asian diaspora together to appeal for peace on the occasion of the Independence Days of India and Pakistan, South Asian neighbors whose governments have been in conflict for decades.

Warm welcome for Shanti Yatra throughout

A warm welcome to SHANTI YATRA was accorded at Kalyanpura on its second day. The Yatra is organised by PIPFPD and people from 12 states are taking part from it, apart from hundreds of people from villages in nearby districts and areas of Rajasthan. The people of KP welcomed the Yatra with song, dances and garlands.
